STATEMENT OF LOCATION OF PRECINCT
POLLING PLACES FOR THE 2026 FEDERAL PRIMARY ELECTION CARTER COUNTY,MONTANA
I, Judy Wright, Election Administrator of the County of Carter, hereby certify that the following listed locations will be designated polling places for each precinct during the Primary Election to be held in Carter County, Montana on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. An absentee (early) ballot may be requested in writing or in person to the Clerk and Recorder’s Office, PO Box 315 Ekalaka, MT 59324. The elector must sign the request; include their mailing address and their birth date. Absentee (early) ballots will be either sent to the elector or he/she may stop in to the Clerk and Recorder’s office Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (office closed from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM) to vote in person. Electors are reminded that time is closing in fast for absentee voting by mail. Electors may vote absentee no later than noon on Monday, June 2, 2026.
The Express Votes, voting machine will be available at each polling place (including the Courthouse) for the seeing and hearing impaired and election judges will be trained to assist in using the machine.
Sites and times for the designated polling places are as follows:
Precinct #1 ……Alzada School, 236 Spring St., Alzada Polls open from 12:00 – 8:00 PM
Precinct #3 ……Boyes Community Hall, 10460 Hwy 212 Polls open from 12:00 – 8:00 PM
Precinct #13…...Fair Hall, 209 W Speelmon St., Ekalaka, MT Polls open from 7:00 – 8:00 PM
Precinct #14…...Fair Hall, 209 W Speelmon St., Ekalaka, MT Polls open from 7:00 – 8:00 PM
The Alzada School and Boyes Community Hall are designated Rural Polling places, one that serves less than 200 people however meet the standards for accessibility as per requirements of 13-3-213, MCA.
The Carter County Fair Exhibit Hall/Event Center is also ranked accessible and therefore both the Town of Ekalaka and Rural Ekalaka Electors shall vote at this sit
